QUALIFICATIONS: |
Shall have a high school diploma or GED. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Shall have or will obtain a CDL prior to transporting students. |
|
|
|
|
Shall have the ability to drive a manual and automatic transmisssion. |
|
|
|
Shall submit to a drug and alcohol screening before initial employment. |
|
|
|
Shall be subject to random drug and alcohol tests after employment. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
PHYSICAL |
Shall have the ability to sit, lift, stoop, push, pull, climb, drive, physically restrain |
|
REQUIREMENTS: |
students (when necessary), any and all body movements as related to the job |
|
|
description. |

GENERAL DUTIES: |
Shall drive a school bus over designated routes in accordance with specified time |
|
|
schedules and in accordance with regulations and laws related to pupil transportation. |
|
|
Shall transport students to and from school, special events, and educational field trips. |
|
|
Shall maintain bus in a clean and safe operating condition. |
|
|
|
|
Shall demonstrate legal and defensive driving practices. |
|
|
|
|
Shall perform a pre-trip inspection of the bus as required. |
|
|
|
|
Shall conduct a walk-through of the bus at the end of each run to ensure that all |
|
|
students have disembarked at their designated stops, as per AISD Board Policy 06.22. |
|
|
Shall adhere to School Board of Education Policies and Procedures. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
SPECIFIC DUTIES: |
Shall pick up and discharge students, under varying weather conditions, as established |
|
|
bus stops; report incidents which affect the safety of students. |
|
|
|
|
Shall demonstrate acceptable student management techniques and follow established |
|
|
procedures for reporting student management issues to the Principal. |
|
|
|
Shall report all accidents and /or injuries to the Transportation Supervisor. |
|
|
|
Shall submit required reports in a timely manner and attends meeetings as required by |
|
|
Transportation Supervisor. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Shall perform a minimum of four (4) emergency bus evacation drills annually at each |
|
|
school, under the supervision of the Principal. |
|
|
|
|
|
Shall complete appropriate forms to report all vehicle safety and mechanical concerns. |
|
|
Shall perform all duties as assigned by the Supervisor. |
